A honeymoon registry is similar to a traditional wedding registry; couples list the honeymoon activities and expereinces that we want on their registry. Wedding guests contribute monetary gifts towards these activities so couples can expereince a cherished honeymoon!

How much does it cost?

It is completely free to create your Honeymoon Pixie registry, which includes complete access to our tools and services.  Unlike other companies, our beautiful registry designs and templates are 100% free, as well as the Guestbook feature, announcement cards, and much more.  

Here’s how it works:

Only once you receive gifts, a 7% service fee is required to process those that are purchased. This covers credit card processing fees, hosting your personal registry URL, fraud protection, and unlimited customer support.

You can choose who pays the service fee:

  •  Guests (default): fee is added to their bill at checkout. Guests never pay for tax, shipping or handling. This results in the registry being entirely free for the couple. You receive 100% of your gift money.
  •  Registered Couple: fee is simply subtracted from your gift funds upon redemption.

How do I receive my gift money?

You have full control of when and how you want your funds delivered to you. Within your account, simply select a business check, bank to bank transfer, international wire transfer, or PayPal. Redeem your funds whenever you choose.

When you compare options:

Other honeymoon registries will charge you ‘upgrade’ fees, a one-time fee, a subscription fee, a split fee (charging both you and your quests 2.5% or more), and/or require the purchase of accommodations and travel through them. Many generate revenue by putting advertisements on your registry and selling your contact information to vendors. We do none of these things.

How does Honeymoon Pixie compare to a traditional wedding registry?

In almost all cases, a Honeymoon Pixie registry is more economical than a traditional gift registry. There is no expense associated with shipping, handling, tax, and gift wrapping.  This can easily be 12-15% of the gift's value.   

When using Honeymoon Pixie, we send you a check or a bank transfer of your gift funds.  There is no time wasted, and no embarrassment, exchanging unwanted or duplicated wedding gifts!

How do we inform our guests that we are registered with Honeymoon Pixie?

Most couples will enlist the help of their parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen to get the word out.  In addition, Honeymoon Pixie provides 4 notification options that you can use at any time:

  • Print our free registry announcements cards and include them in your bridal shower invitations. This is great way to create awareness of  your honeymoon registry.
  • Spread the word by using our facebook connection that generates a wall post when a gift is purchased. This allows your friends to see the gifts purchased for you and encourages them to visit your registry and purchase you a gift.  
  • Use one of our pre-written email templates to send out an announcement to your guests. It’s easy and your email list is kept private.
  • Copy and paste the code we provide into any other web page to share a link to your honeymoon registry website. This is ideal when you are also using a traditional registry.

What is the proper honeymoon gift registry etiquette?

It is also acceptable to tell friends about your registry at your bridal shower. Your maid of honor can help provide your registry information to your guests.

Is my personal information safe?

Your privacy is extremely important to us and we will never share or sell any of the personal information of our couples or guests.  All of your personal information is stored on secure servers at our data center. We need it only to manage your registry, deliver your honeymoon registry funds, and email you gift notifications. 

Our staff does not have access to your private passwords. If you forget your password, we use an automated password system so that you can create a new private password.  For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Is credit card information secure?

Security and the protection of sensitive information is our #1 priority.  Our website uses 256-bit SSL encryption technology to ensure that the private credit card information of the gift-giver is transmitted safely and securely. The information is encrypted before it is sent and cannot be read.  We never store your guests' credit card information after the transaction has been completed.

We use additional measures that provide security for each individual transaction and partner with online leaders in global payment processing, fraud detection and payment security.  

For your protection, you will notice that during a transaction, our URL address line changes to "https".  This indicates that our website is safe and secure.

Where does the money go when we receive a gift?

After a guest's credit card is charged, the money is deposited into an FDIC-insured bank account with HSBCHSBC provides banking services to over 41 million people worldwide. 

How do we know when a gift has been purchased for us?

Every time someone gives you a gift, an email detailing the gift will be automatically sent to the guest and to you.  Your account will be updated with your gift activity.  It is easy see the gifts you’ve received, who they are from, and the total amount available for redemption.

Do you book the activities on our honeymoon registry for us?

We are a gift registry service and not a travel agency.  We provide you with complete control and flexibility to book your own travel and honeymoon activities.  Gift funds that are in your registry account can be provided to you at an early date so you can prepay for some of your activities. How and when do we receive our gift funds from our registry?

You can collect your honeymoon gift funds at any time by logging into your account and clicking on "Manage Gifts".  You can collect your gift funds via:

  • Check mailed directly to you sent USPS First Class Mail (free).
  • Bank to bank transfer in the U.S. ($10 fee).
  • International bank wire transfer ($30 fee).
  • Your PayPal account (free; PayPal's terms may apply).

Your honeymoon registry website will remain online for two years so friends can visit and share in your story and photos.  At any time, you can delete your registry and remove it from our website.

For security reasons, we can only issue gift redemptions in the name of the primary account holder. This name cannot be changed once a gift has been given.  This is to protect you from any fraudulent activity.

It takes 72-hours for funds from a credit card transaction to be available for gift funds redemption.  This ensures that credit card activities are not fraudulent. This protects your guests.

Checks will be sent to the address you provided. We are not responsible or liable for any losses due to lost mail or untimely deliveries of regular mail.

The bank to bank transfer is the safest, fastest and preferred method to receive your funds (please allow 48-72 hours).

International clients have 2 options:  International bank wire transfer or PayPal.

What is the best way to thank a guest?

Your guests will appreciate a personal thank you card.  We make this easy by maintaining your gifts and your guests' contact information in an organized "Thank You" list. After logging into your account, select "Manage Gifts". Scroll down and click on the "Thank You List" button to access a printable list of all your gifts and the associated guest information.

What if some of our wedding guests aren't computer friendly?

Our customer service team is happy to help your guests over the phone and answer any questions they may have. We enjoy helping people and we want your guests to feel comfortable and confident. What if we don't have a honeymoon destination selected, can we still use the registry to start receiving gift money?

For many couples, it may be too early to have a specific honeymoon destination selected or the specific travel dates. This is not an issue. During the registration process, you can enter any destination and estimate your travel dates. You can change both of these later after you have finalized your travel plans. We recommend using one of our pre-built registries, and then once your travel plans are firmed up, you can easily customize your gifts to match your honeymoon destination.

Can we change or add gifts to our registry after we've posted it?

Yes, at anytime!  Simply log-in to your account and go to "Registry Gift Items".  You can add, delete or edit any gift.  You can easily change the gift photo, name, description, value and the number of gifts requested.

Can we use this honeymoon registry if we are not from the US?

Yes!  Our gift registry service is used by couples around the world.  We require that you have a mailing address in one of the following countries:

American Samoa, American Virgin Islands, Australia, Austria, Belgium, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic Of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.

Gift amounts and account balances are in US dollars.  Gift redemptions will also be drawn on US dollars from a bank based in the United States. If the funds are being deposited into a bank outside of the US, you should ask your bank about their fees associated with cashing foreign checks (and how long it takes to clear foreign checks), accepting foreign wire transfers, and currency conversion fees.  Our couples have found that an international wire transfer is often the fastest and safest way to receive their gift funds.

Why not just receive checks at the wedding?

Receiving gift checks at your wedding, and departing for your honeymoon a day or two after, makes it almost impossible to find the time to get to a bank to deposit and cash your gift checks. Most banks will take several days to clear out-of-town checks which can jeopardize having your funds available in time. This is not the kind of stress you want to have immediately after your wedding as you prepare to leave for your honeymoon! 

With our honeymoon registry, you can receive all of your gift money ahead of time. This provides you the opportunity to pre-pay certain parts of your trip (for example, your accommodations), and provides an easy system for tracking all the gifts you receive.

What happens if my wedding or honeymoon is cancelled or postponed?

If your wedding or honeymoon is postponed, just log-in to your account and revise your wedding or honeymoon date. If your wedding is cancelled, we will provide you with a check for any outstanding balance that may be in your account.  It’s up to you to return any redeemed gift money to your family and guests.
